We are People of Action Making a Difference
We have fun, we make friends, we change lives!
Through fundraising, community service, networking,
and friendship, we work hard to make a difference
locally and globally. Our club offers opportunities
for our members – and others interested in making
a difference – to get involved. Through meetings
and volunteer projects, we learn about issues and
work to make a difference, often in partnership with
other groups. Along with opportunities to serve,
members regularly network, resulting in lifelong
friendships and business connections.
During 2017-18 our members contributed about 2,000 hours of service and our club and its members generated about $50,000 to support the community. Our projects include
• Farmers to Food Bank - each year we collect over 5,000 pounds of unsold food from the Farmers Market and transport to the State College Food Bank
• Jared Boxes - Plastic storage boxes are filled with small gifts, toys, games and fun activities to lift the spirits of children in hospitals
• Youth Exchange - annually we sponsor inbound and outbound high school students who discover another culture and become global citizens
• Ending Polio - Partnering with the Bill & Melinda Gates Founds, the World Health Organization and UNICEF to end polio, once and for all
We invite you to visit our club and find out more about us and the opportunities we offer as a member or as part of our no obligation community corps.
Please know, this State College Downtown club is but one of five in the Centre County Region.
